Celebrate a momentous occasion or honor a special person. Tributes may be requested for those celebrating significant events in their lives, such as birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, parenthood, housewarmings, military or community awards. Some tributes may celebrate the life of a recently departed person.

Many organizations wish to promote events such as new product launches, significant company milestones, or the promotion or retirement of a key executive. Universities or alumni groups may wish to tout their favorite institution or sports teams.

No matter the occasion, tributes in verse carry much more impact than those written in prose. These verses are not great poetry. They are poetic expressions which recognize the worth of an individual, event, or organization. These verses engage the reader in a way that prose cannot. Recipients appreciate the extra effort and thought required to craft a poem in their honor.

How Can I Order A Custom Verse?

Print Polish is your source for creative verse, personalized and tailored to the individual or occasion. There are no templates in which to ‘place person’s name here.’ Each tribute is unique.

The process works like this.

In cases where there are concerns about personal identity, please note that it is not necessary to list an individual’s last name, address, or even city, unless you choose to. The information requested is what we must use to make your verse unique and targeted. We ask for information such as hair and eye color, height or other significant information. (right handed, loves water skiing, never goes to NASCAR races, drinks only red wine, 42 years in business, largest widget manufacturer in Midwest) The more insightful the provided information, the more likely the poem will be one you’ll treasure.

Email your completed form and Print Polish will reply within 24 hours with information on how to proceed. A short phone consultation may be requested in order to gain a better understanding of the individual, event, or organization being honored.

Mark the delivery method you prefer on the form provided. You may choose emailed files, poems printed on paper stock of your choice, or printed, mounted, and attractively framed for presentation or display.

How a Poetic Tribute Is Created

The following information was used to create the engagement poem you’ll see below:

Names of engaged couple: Brian and Rochelle
Proposal Location: At a hilltop restaurant in Phoenix, AZ
How Proposal Was Made: The waiter and a friend were in on the plan. As the cocktails, appetizers, and meal progressed, suddenly the question was ‘popped’, the ring was presented, and the friend arrived with a bouquet of flowers for the bride-to-be.
Special Notes: The engagement ring features seven stones, to denote the seven years the couple have known one another.

The Poem

Brian and Rochelle’s Engagement
High on a hilltop
Arizona sky above
Stood Rochelle & Brian
Hearts entwined in love
The beauty of the moment
Had a quality so fine
No one could ask for more than this
The moment was sublime

Then, without a hint of suggestion
Brian asked that special question
“Will you agree to be my wife
And be here to share my life?
And here’s a little token
Of those words I should’ve spoken
To show you that I care
Almost more than I can bear.
The ring has seven special stones
Each one denotes a year
Of the time the two of us have learned
To hold each other dear.”

Of course Rochelle’s response was “yes”
As I’m certain anyone could guess
And two families will become as one
Because Rochelle and Brian’s
New journey has begun
